This statue belonged to Mr. Yoshio Sakai from Kobe city, but he presented it to Ono city. This was made by Gyoun in 1719. Both the age and the maker of this statue are identified, which is very rare. A merchant in the Edo era might have decorated a guest room with this statue. |
